Its been 3 months since this challenge began and contest has entered Agni Pariksha. The mentors have poured their efforts to impart all the skills required to make one a complete singer and performer. The later part of 2nd stage & Chakra vyug had kept the audience engrossed and even biting their nails waiting for judgement. The exit of few - Ujjaini, Joyita, Keka - made you cry. All of them have been so well groomed that their performance kept on improving with each round.
On judgements, the judges had to maintain high standards, objectivity in their decisions. All have been good except for Daler Mehendi..... he shouldn’t have been there... counting mistakes in sur.. is not really a way to decide. Overall aspects of singing and performance should be looked for.
The performance of the contenstants before live audience threw up a new light. Hemachandra, Debojit, Rakhtima.. really surprised.. didn’t ever think they could dance and perform well. They had sober personalities and to make them peform at this level is commendable. Wonder why Swananda was missing. This live performance gave a good blow to Fame Gurukul. Saregama contestants can sing & perform. There are no non singers. Even untrained singer Rajeev pours his heart out and sings in sur.
