This is a 59.9 CC light two wheeler, manufactured in India by TVS-SUZUKI using SMILE technology. SMILE is nothing but Smart Machine Incorporating Low Emission. Its unique silencer design and catalytic converter makes it smile when it moves.
I purchased TVS Scooty - ES in April 2001 for my wife but it is being used by my school going son. During my school days I have not attended any coaching class or something like that. But for the millennium kids it is must to attend such classes at least two years before the final exam of the board and they travel quite a distance to attend their favorite classes. Some of them even spend three to four hours a day for traveling. In such a case a small vehicle like this saves lot of time and energy.
Scooty has two variants – TVS Scooty ES (electronic start) and TVS Scooty (it speaks when you kick). All models are available in five attractive colours.

Horn – In case of electronic start model horn is of 12 V DC type.
Transmission:Variomatic V belt transmission and gear reduction with automatic centrifugal clutch.
Brakes - Internally expanding double shoe, drum type; 130 mm dia (front and rear)
Main parts of the chassis are made of plastic. It has a good looking dashboard with instrument panel consists of Speedometer, Turn signal indicator (left & right) and Odometer.
Its left handle is having Rear break lever, Head lamp with high/low beam, Turn signal lamp switch, Horn switch. Right handle is having Choke lever, Front break lever, throttle twist grip, Head lamp (On - Off switch) and Electric start switch. So, all controls are by hands.
Light Weight, Automatic Clutch, Electronic Start and All Hand Control make it easy to ride two-wheeler especially for the new riders and ladies. According to me it is not a heavy duty wheeler but good for city ride.

Rider should take following precautions :
Never move without Helmet
So smoking during the ride. Use both hands.
Slow pick-up is good for the engine. Do not over heat the engine by rough handling.
Do not carry too much of load. Bulky material may cause loss of balance/control.
Do not carry flammable item in the locker which is located under the seat. Item like Nail Polish Remover, some sprays, gas cylinders for lighters, match boxes may catch fire or explode.
Check electrolyte level of the battery to increase its life.
Always use recommended ration of petrol and lube oil.
Keep indicating lights in good condition for your safety.
Personal experience- Better check it once in a while if it is being used by our very busy son or wife.
