I purchased my scooty pep+ in end of May, 2007. It was a lovely ride always and I marketed about this to my friends and relatives. Ensured my cousine buy this when she was changing her old 2 wheeler. But just after end of 4th service, I started facing battery issues. Self-start doesnot work and suddenly bike stops on road when get accelarator down.
They repaired repeatedly but just 2 days, bike was back to service. They replaced with a new battery but just one month, it was back to the service with the same problem. Then some attempts of repairs 4-5 times and lastly replacing of battery again. From last 5-6 months I am so upset that I can’t take this bike with confidence for a long drive or to new place after evening.
One mistake from my side was that I was not aware that we should be kick-starting for a better battery life. But many other friends of mine use self-start with different scooters and they dont have any issues from 2-3 years. I get to know this 15 days back after second time replacement of new battery, from TVS Ashwa showroom where I purchased and regularly getting it serviced. But still I am not sure, if this can alone solve my issue.
