On 16th August 2009 I approached M/s Chatrapati Sales Service, Kothrud for boking Scooty pep for my wife. To my surprise, the dealer did not have stock of Scooty pep for sale. There were only three scooty peps in his show-room which were sold.
On enquiry, I understood that the fresh stock was expected in the next week and I was suggested to make token payment for booking. I was surpirsed to see such a state of affiar that the dealer could not make the vehicle available for customer to make a choice.
In this connection what is the policy of TVS? Are they not insisting their authorised dealer to maintain minimum stock? According to my knowledge there must be some clause in their contract. Also in the quotation given by the dealer an amount of Rs. 300/- was shown as Handling Chargs. Front Officer executive could not give any convincing explanation for these charges. I think TVS should not allow their dealers to charge customers any amount which is not justifiable.
