Good for city use

After a lot of hardship and pain my mom got her driving license(2 and 4 wheeler!!!) which was a surprise coz she is 50+ years, 5 feet, 60kg and never touched the driving seat of even a toy cycle. I realized what Hitler said is very correct."Nothing is impossible".

Inspired by Sania Mirza she decided to buy a scooty pep.  But we were against it as it’s more a female vehicle. Coz, she herself used to tell me that during the learning spell she with her friends teased boys riding scooty. I thought if  housewives tease, then what about the college girls. They may whistle and give comments if we boys(read it as men)  ride it. :(. Anyways, she won the battle (as in every home).  So we bought a purple color scooty.

The pros are as follows:

It’s very light. I felt it very easy to ride since  we have been riding only the geared bikes in which we need to do a lot of things (accelerator+clutch+gear shift+ break) at a time to slow down or move forward the bike. It’s very good for city use. It gives a mileage of 45 - 50. You can zoom past even the Pulsars and Karizmas in heavy traffic since it needs less space to squeeze through. You can carry even a gas cylinder.  You can put your helmet(not the full mask) under the seat. Good to ride at a speed not more than 40.

And the cons:

once I went out in the rain with scooty(I like drenching in the rain) . It just stopped. And if I start it will run for 100 meters more and then stops again. I complained at the service center(several times). But they didn’t do anything to make it less hydrophobic. So I avoided going out in the rain with her(scooty). The body parts r very fragile. Going above 50km/hr is scary. But I did 70km/hr (the indicated speed in odo). That was the max I could do. That’s all about the scooty.

We sold it after an year. Bought a Suzuki Access which has got lot of power and less mileage.
