I basically wanted a good mileage bike or in other words a commuter bike as I travel almost 25kms a day.
if you are a person who travels regularly in doubles this isDEFINITELY not the bike for you. it struggles to climb slopes(doubles in a city like bangalore) and doesn’t cross 40-45kmph when climbing. for doubles 100cc bikes must be given a pass, 125cc bikes must be preferred.
the bike pickup is pretty good when riding in singles. can reach speeds of upto 80+kmph.
the suspension is pretty ok but could do better. the tyres are very ordinary and its better to ask for better tyres when you’re buying the bike which I did’nt do. The mileage is the best part of the bike. gives 60kmpl when riding singles and will give 65+ in highways. Looks are pretty ok
cold starting is the biggest problem of the bike. it gives riding problems for abt the first 5 min but then it’s very smooth.
UPDATE:
3.5 years have passed by and the mileage has dropped from 60-62kmpl to 58 kmpl.
cold starting is worst as ever(thankfully, I know how to use the idling sscrew, so I rev it up for the 1st 1-1.5 kms and then rev it down)
i changed the tyres, so the tyres are ok now :D
overall, I would say disappointing. don’t go for star city
