I have bought my TVS Star City in January 2006. Completed 4th free service in late October 2006 (missed the 3rd service due to oversight). My bike has never given me more than 55 kms per litre of petrol till date. Each time when the vehicle was given for service, I had indicated my mileage problem, and each time the service centre returned the vehicle claiming that problem has been set right, but never had I seen any improvement.
In the last one month, posted 3 complaints at TVS Motor Company website (in contact us section), explaining my problem, but not received even an acknowledgement from the company. I am not sure that going back to the service centre will solve my problem, as these people are not at all sincere and have a take it or leave it attitude. But faced with this utter unresponsiveness from this reputed corporate house, I do not know what my options are. I have decided to once again approach the service centre, and if my problem is not rectified to my satisfaction (I am expecting and improvement in mileage to the level of 75 to 80 kms per litre, against TVS Motors widely published claim of 102 kms per km.), I will have to explore other legal avenues.
