A Great Bike

Having owned two TVS bikes in the past, I was naturally drawn to buying another one. I wanted something that is not too common and yet good looking, with a dose of chrome, and of course reliability. TVS Star seemed the right choice. It is quiet in running, somewhat higher in seating than the other bikes, making it comfortable for tall guys like me, and rather big, especially the 16 litre petrol tank! It literally jumps on the first and second gears, has plenty of low end torque for smooth city riding and lugging power too. Most of all, it has good suspension, something that was seriously lacking in the TVS Max range.

The graphics are clean and the chrome and metal mudguards add the classy touch. Most of all, there are not too many TVS Stars on the road, making it a bike that sometimes draws looks from fellow bikers. For those who wants some uniqueness and a sound reliable bike without the sporty plastic and cheap stickers common on today’s bikes, TVS Star is recommended.

The seating is comfortable as the bike was built to withstand rural roads and highways, and the five position rear suspension makes the rough ride smooth. The finish is very good, unlike the MAXs, and the paint job excellent. The rear tyre is wider on the TVS Star than on other bikes, making road grip strong.

The TVS Star is not for speeding or drag racing, nor will it quite impress Paris Hilton. But if treated with respect, will easily outlast its cousins from Bajaj and Honda.

Buy the Star and you will be a happy biker, especially when you ride the highways.
