I have been using this bile for more than 2 months now. Prior to this I had a 1999 model Caliber.
Before I finally choose TVS Star City I took a test drive of almost all the models in this segment like CT 100, CD Dawn, Crux S. Star City gave me the feel of a much tough and bike comparing to CT 100 and CD Dawn.
It is very smooth with well set gear ratios. Millaege, ....it would be too early for me to comment. I am currently getting 58kmpl in Pune city driving at an speed of 45 to 60 kms. I have hardly done 1050kms so far. I have been told by the servicing guy that millage will improve only after 1500 kms. Lets see....
Any time it is much better than HH Splendour in terms of features and performance. You also save around Rs. 6000 because Satr City cost 38k whereas Spendour will cost you 44k.
Suspensions are good, light beam quality is good. Seating position is good for the rider and also for the pillion.
Overall it is a good bike. It has little bit of starting problem in the morning. Also TVS has very poor representation of Servicing outlets in Pune. I think this is one thing which the company needs to pay attention for the interest of the owners.
People planning to go for CT 100, G5, HH Splendour, CD Dawn should visit TVS showroom and take a test ride of Star City.....or else they may have to repent later.
