Three months ago I wanted to buy a 150cc + bike. The first thing I was sure about it, that Ill not go for Pulsar. First of all I dont want to own it because, every body has it. Other thing that one of my friend (he owns a Pulsar 180) told me that Its not very good in long drives. Engine heats up in a drive of 60+ KMs. Here I like to add that, this not my opinion, as Ive never tested Pulsar on long drives. Initially, I was interested in Thunderbird, But Ive not opted for it because of its naked and empty looks. The space between fuel tank and engine is quite visible enough. And this doesnt goes very well with me. It creates a kind of emptiness feeling. It goes against the macho looks associated with Bullet. So next Ive tried my hands on Fiero FX. To be very frank in my opinion, I was stunned by it macho looks, Its chrome techo meter, round big head light and round rear view mirrors are big turn ons. Ive decided to buy it in the first look. Then Ive inquired from all the distributors in Delhi about its price. And I got the best deal from Himgiri TVS, Green Park. So Ive finally purchased it from them. It costed me INR 53, 000 (approx.). For last three months, Im riding on my Fiero FX(Green). And to be very frank, my satisfaction level is around 80%. I also like to add here, that This is my first bike and before this I was driving a Bajaj Chetak for around 7-8 years. Why my satisfaction level is not 100%, because of following few observations I have: . Its gear box is not as smooth as it has to be. . Mileage should be around 60 kmpl, which is around 50-55 kmpl . throttle gives different kind of sound sometimes, sometimes its very pleasing, sometimes does not sounds nice at all. . Pickup is not that great as that of a 150 cc machine. I recommend this machine to others on following points: . Better build quality. . Smooth handling and ride on long drives. Once Ive travelled from Delhi to Meerut, the drive was very comfortable one. . Doesnt require maintenance much. . Good fuel economy for a 150 cc bike, but some improvement is still required. Over all its a good buy and even 2-3000 cheaper than Bajaj Pulsar.
But I do not recommend Himgiri TVS, Green Park, New Delhi at all as they are not at all responsive to customer demand. They sell so much bikes so that they do not care for individual customers.
