Too much of vibration at high speeds

I bought Fiero F2 4 months back, after a lot of research.

First, some figures:

  • Had been riding for 4 months - covered 3500 KM

  • I ride a distance of 30 km everyday (15+15), mostly on top-gear at 55KMPH. I ride

mostly on a highway, there’s no heavy traffic - so gear change is minimum.

  • 2nd service completed.

  • Get an avg. mileage of 52 KMPL

However, I’m having a major problem of high vibration at speeds above 60. At 40KMPH, riding becomes hard. It feels same as trying to ride at high speed on a low gear.

At 60 it becomes harder and the whole body (front and engine) starts to vibrate.

The vibration drastically increases with speed and it’s so high at 70, I havn’t been able to cross 70 till date ! It’s as if the whole frame would tear-off above 70 !

I have told this to my dealer several times & the response has been very poor. Everytime he tells me it’s fixed, but I see the problem remains exactly as is ! I love riding at high speed and I’m very disappointed with the results.

I suspect it has to do with poor service (My service shop is in Hyderabad, Chanda Nagar). Many of my friends who have F2 are happy with the performance - they don’t have the vibration problem.

Except for the above problem, I’d say the bike is excellent:

Pros:

  • Good looks

  • Decent mileage

  • Very good maneuverability. Taking curves at high speed is easy.

  • Excellent disk brakes.

Cons:

  • Poor grip on wet roads.

  • Poor head-tail cover - causing a lot of vibration.

  • Cannot cross 70 due to vibration.
