I used to be a bit old fashioned about biking. I had my good times on the RX100 in my college and early career. I still am fond of those two strikers. Go to hell environmentalists. After I parted with it (it was not the economy problem), I tried almost all the bikes in the 150cc four stroke segment. You cannot call a 100cc four stroker a bike, its just a cycle fitted with a motor. But each time I ride any of these CBZ, Pulsars and Kinetic stuff, I dearly miss my RX100. They simply wont match, except for the fuel consumption. The only bike that I liked was the Suzuki Fiero. But then I dont want to be seen sitting on it even. Enter Fiero FX.
Love at first ride. Except for the size and noiselessness, it never let me miss my RX100. The same nostalgic feeling of riding an good two stroker blended perfectly with modern gizmos and fuel efficiency as a bonus. I simply wont get down from it as the showroom man tells me that there are other persons waiting to test ride it too. Every person gathered were speaking loudly about the bike after they had their chances. I was disappointed. So I took one of my friend?s (who owned a FX and first told me to test ride the bike) bike and bunked office. The whole day I clocked around 900 KM. When I was returning the bike at 2100 hours, I was ready to do more.
I found it the best balanced bike in the country (in its segment).
I have booked mine. I am waiting to take delivery as I am waiting for that late monsoon in Kolkata to pass away. The only thing I am changing is the tyres, as I have never liked the TVS tyres. I will be going for Dunlop probably.
Take a Look. Take a Ride. You will look no further.
