My Samurai is a model of 1993 and I purchased it one month ago, Good pick up mileage and engine, just I had to spend about some 1000 bucks and here... its magic starts... never mind about the noise... its a music and its the way the bike tells "Hellow I am ready, Let’s go Master." and lo.. I get a decent mileage of 50 with no issues, previously this bike was rough used, I knew it but I took it as a challenge, guess how much I would have paid for it? Just 6000 bucks... I thought it was too high, but its not its more worth.
Actually, I had troubles in the starting like... the bike was looking damn ugly, like the previous owner never repainted it and the side doors (battery units) were broken, and engine was spilled out from some distemper paints and then I took the oath of making it beautiful, Just spent somewhere 40 bucks and bought a thick black paint and a brush and I started painting its silencer, engine, chain box, medguards, hooks and small parts just in 3 hours my bike looked to be a modern race bike and then I changed the side doors to new ones by buying new ones and replaced it and fixed a new speedometer and lo... bike is new now, Pick up mileage and speed no other bikes can tick it.
Main Problems I had
1) Stroking from engine while gear shift
this takes place when the clutch box is dirty with grease, you can solve it by leaving to the mechanic and wait for some 4 hours and he will set it right to you.
2) Water collosion into the carburator
When you park the bike in rains there are chances of water entering the carburator through the engine gaps at the top, this is one of the main problem and it mixes with the petrol and the bike never starts so cover the bike with some plastic sheets on rains to avoid it. this is a main issue in Samurai
3) Not Suitable for family
As I am a Family man, while taking my wife on the pillion its very hard to switch the 1st gear normally it raises at a big boos and she has to catch you with whatever she can at that time, moreover for gags this is the right bike
