It was in 1995 during my college days that my dad bought me my first bike Tvs Suzuki Shogun.which was a great bike at that time which was giving a decent 55kmpl which was cool and economic given to the petrol rates of those days. And the comfort was so great that 2 people could travel even long distances with ease.Actually I and my cousin bought our bikes at the same time, he went for samurai and I went for shogun, while he used to struggle hard to even reach 75kmph I was racing around at 110 and it wasnt even a standard 100cc bike like RX-100 it was a non standard 111cc bike. And the tyres were broad and I had changed it only once.My friends used to drool over its looks and the front odometer was the one thing to die for because it was round and all other bikes of that time has rectangular odometer and some of my friends even asked me if they can exchange their odometer with mine, but I didnt budge, the main issue was the bore which was a bit worn out and my brother had even bought a new shogun bore(original)but the other component needed to fit the bore into the socket was out of stock so we couldnt install it.but eventhough I dont use it its still standing in my car shed.People told me to sell it but I didnt want tocause I have great memories attached with it and shes soo close to my heart.Sorry I could not recommend it to anyone coz you wont get it even if you wantedcause of its speed some miscreants used it for chain snatching etc so TVS company had to discontinue this model.Anyhow now it has acquired the CULT BIKE status and there are many groups of people who own a shogun(vintage groups)But anyway shes standing in my garage and I will nevvver sell it even for a billion dollarscause we had some great times together
