I want to share my experience with TVS Victor GLX 125 with you all. GLX 125 is an excellent vehicle for those who wants a commuter having power with mileage.
Also, GLX 125 is having a lot graphics that give a sporty look , although design is somewhere between a commuter and a powered bike.Its rear ends and fairing seems to be derived from Fiero F2.
About the ride quality of the bike, I say , its too easy to handle the bike, and when it runs on road it gives quite smoother ride.And , one thing, parking the vehicle on its center stand is quite comfortable, its center stand designing is good enough, that doesn’t gives the feel of the weight of the vehicle.But if you have to park the vehicle on a slant road or slant parking space then its quite sure that you are going to feel the weight of the vehicle.
GLX 125 with its 125cc VTi engine demonstrate a power(10bhp) which is sufficient in cityride, on highway also, if you are singly seated it glides to 70 kph with an easy and slight twist of the accelerator, further it takes a little bit of more time, finally it goes to 100+ kph.On highway , it went upto 95kph when double seated but at a striaght or slightly downward inclined road.
About the mileage , if driven in ’Economy mode’ it delivered a milage of around 64kpl, but sometimes when I tested its power it delivered a mileage of somewhere around 58-60 kpl.
About its drawback , it has a starting trouble when the engine gets cold, but again when it starts or rather engine reaches normal temprature , then it gives no problem in starting.This starting trouble is existing, may be because of the devices fitted on the bike to avoid wasteage of fuel, but at sometimes it is really hectic to start it, specially, when the bike is new and you are starting it in the morning( for the first time in a day).
Again , as applied to all TVS the econometer helps a lot while driving to let us know whether we are riding the bike in high fuel consumption mode , even when we change gears we do follow some improper practices leading to wastage of fuel, and finally reducing the effiency if the vehicle.
GLX 125 has the new TVS avtaar - the VTi engine - where the TVS technology speaks about itself- the spark plug fires twice within a time gap of few milliseconds - that burns the small amount of unburnt fuel that is left after the first firing.
I suppose this also enhances the fuel effienciency of the engine along with power.Overall, its a nice bike to own.If you want to buy a 125 , testride it , you will come to know yourself about the feel of power and smoothness of the vehicle.
