I have a TVS Victor GX(2004 model), which was given to me by my father as a gift. I kept it in peak condition as long as I rode it, until 2010.
It gave me mileage of 65 kmpl and has been the smoothest bike I have ridden so far(I had Suzuki Max 100-1995, Honda Dream Yuga-2012, P220F-2014, Discover 100-2011, Suzuki Access 125-2013).
In terms of shock absorbers, TVS is the king.
They should not have stopped this model.
I have taken it to top speed of 80 and at those higher speeds, its engine turned into a monster and had power to go even further.
I used to take it on long drives, both at night and day. I visited as far as Dehradun(from Punjab) many times. Then there were many other freuqent short trips of 50-80 km(1 side). It never even coughed.
I also took it into knee deep waters several times during rain and it never switched off like other bikes. This is the same experience as my Suzuki Max 100. I think TVS was using Suzukis engine tech at that time after breaking up with Suzuki.
My Victor also travelled to UP after my transfer and I rode it in those worst roads for around 2 years without any problems.
The only drawback I felt was that the bikes of those days didnt have tubeless tyres.
Victor is a great bike. If TVS had kept it up to date with new features, it would have been a success even now. One of the smoothest response bike. Pull that accelerator and it goes woof with smooth pull. Amazing. Love it!
