And yet....

First off, its a very good bike. I hadn’t been to this site before buying it, so I didnt know about this starting problem. Surprisingly, on the day of delivery, when the dealer tried starting it, it didnt! He mumbled something to another guy about changing the battery (he tried the horn and it didnt work either), and 15 minutes later, it was a breeze.

I dont have regular starting problems... not even the cold start. There is the occasional time when it fails to start first time around, but then the choke works, or very slightly raising the accelerator works, no cribs there. There is however a slightly strange feeling at times of as if the bike is slipping, skidding ... call it what you may. If you jam the back brake, which seems to have a significant play, the effect is more pronounced, but I wonder if I am dreaming it or there are others who feel the same ... slipping/sliding effect while driving. Its not too pronounced and the bike remains under absolute control, but it feels like a very small and distant feeling.

I’m still in my first month, and yet to service the vehicle, hopefully post that, things will change. There is another thing about changing gears... dropping to lower gears is a lil tricky sometimes, with the bike leading you to believe you’ve dropped gear... but the engine is very powerful and easily pulls the bike at low speeds in high gear too, that too in the Economy Mode.

Its a very sleek bike and I somehow like the feel and looks of it, it also responds very well on turns and curves, and I think it gives a good mileage around 65-70, but I am still driving below 40 and in Economy mode largely.

All in all a good bike, but someone please tell me I am imagining the sliding! :)
