I have purchased Wego in Oct, 2011 after seeing advertisement and recommendation on various channels ‘Scooter of the year 2011’.
I did realize after 6 month that all is not good, when scooter had start-up problem. I had purchased scooter for my wife, but due to serious start-up problem, I started using it. I was told by mechanics that it is a design problem that battery is getting dried due to engine heat. For nearly around 1 year, I used kick-start.
After 18 month I replaced the battery, somehow the start-up problem resolved. There was always a wear and tear of parts and maintenance cost for 2 months running to 1000-1500 rupees. Poor tier quality, I changed tier after 18000 km
After running for 3 years and 23000+ km, the scotter still gives a decend average of 55 km.
I wrote this review after getting shock that there is a problem in Piston and need replacement, another 2500+ rupees. How come? I was doing regular maintainance and oil change after 1800 km or 2 months.
But now I’m feeling don’t purchase a newly launched car or bike, wait for at least 1 year after scanning the real user’s review.
