I am living in Bangalore. I wanted a good 100cc gear less scooter. I wanted the vehicle immediately.
After reading lot of review in the 100cc category. At first I wanted to go for Honda vehicles but it bothers me about delivery time. So I brought tvs wego. I am using for past 1.5 years and has run about 16000 kms.At first it is a good vehicle as engine is good. the engine is smooth. I had driven it continuously for 150 kms. The best I liked was handling ability.The build quality is good since I am riding daily over broken roads.My daily commute is around 30-50kms sometimes going around 100kms.
The vehicle is giving a mileage of 40-45kms in city and in highway over 50kms.At first I had faced the same problem of battery with the vehicle. Within 3 months the battery went out.
After arguing with service guys it was replaced. The same problem after 3 moths of usage.
Used to kick start the vehicle for 2 months. The service guys used to recharge the battery and give when given for service.It depends on battery for electric starting. if it fails to start first check the battery.
It is better to show to a battery shop guy than the dealer. I met excite battery shop owner, he explained me the cause of failure.
1.The battery was 4ah 12v which is not enough.
2.The battery placing area is near to engine making the battery to heat up causing the damage.
3.Tf mf battery is damaged the voltage durning the starting will be low and it would not be constant even after starting.(means it does not show specified voltage)
4.The battery that tvs gave was very low quality.
I had replaced the battery with EXIDE VRLA MF 5ah 12v MF battery.the new battery fitted nicely in the battery slot without any alteration.If u dont get battery at one EXIDE STORE try other EXIDE stores since it is sold at select outlets.The increase in capacity would give better serve good. I have been using it for more than 6 months with no problem.
It has weak cold start. Ihe choke would go back to half its original position when pulled and left. we have to push it back so it is in its original position. But some times u have pull the choke longer duration.
Availability of tube and Tyre is difficult. It would be more difficult in rural areas.keeping a spare tube in front glove box is a Good idea.The brakes are good but not great.
The seating is not that comfortable for long hours riding.The dealer service is satisfactory but not great .
But overall, this vehicle has been good to me except for few problems.
