I bought a white wego a month ago. Am very happy with it. Looks great, handles great. Gave me a mileage of 40 in the first month even with minimum running!!! Which really surprised me. Except ever since it started raining in Mumbai, I’ve had one problem.
The engine stalls suddenly when it’s raining heavily. I’m cruising along smoothly and without warning the engine sputters and stops. Sometimes repeatedly. Don’t have this problem if it’s sunny. Was wondering if anybody else has had this problem? Is water seeping into the engine or petrol chamber from somewhere? I have the petrol lid well covered so it has to be from somewhere else!
Can anybody help? The service centre guys were of no help because the engine ran perfectly so long as the vehicle was there (2 hours away from the rain) They even drained the petrol tank and found no water there or in the carb!!! I do not know if an external petrol filler is such a good idea.
Any suggestions/advice welcome
