I had purchased TVS Wego in Dec, 2011 from Arunagiri Motors, Hosur road, Bangalore. Since I purchased the vehicle, it started giving one or other trouble. First of all, electric start was not working. No solution even after several complaints to the showroom. After 2 years, I came to know that it has some problem with battery. Fuel economy is also not so good as TVS projects. I used get around~40 kmpl but it slowly reduced to~35 kmpl now.
But the major problem I face is engine stalls. If I drive in city traffic(slow speed, stop-n-go traffic), the engine gets switched off. I feel it is very risky as it can happen mid of the road and any vehicle coming behind can hit. After several complaints to showroom nothing happens. You need to visit their service center regularly for some or other problem.
At last, when I contacted TVS Motors directly they told I need to replace the clutch roller and then the problem will be resolved. As suggested by them I get it done by Arunagiri Motors, Hosur road, Bangalore. But no improvement; still same problem. Once again, when I contacted TVS Motors, I got a call from the service center. Now a more shocking news was awaiting for me. The service center guy told me they have not replaced the clutch roller.
When I asked how they can charge me for that, they started denying. Then they checked their system and found it was billed to me and said they will give me a call after 5 minutes. But it never happens. I am also so frustrated that I do not want to follow-up with the service center any more. I know I paid for such a horrible product.
So, please stay away from TVS. Otherwise get ready to visit service center regularly leaving all your work aside.
