Review update : brief update on the performance of wego after the 3rd service(almost 6 months over from the date of purchase 1500km run) .Good things:
1.) mileage is pretty much decent. On bangalore city traffic it claims 41-43 kmpl. If you drive smarter (no over speeding, apply minimum brakes and switching off in signals where wait time is > 75 seconds) you can get 1/2 km more)
2.) after the 1st service the pick up was improved and engine switching off problem during cold season(was able to smoothly kick-start the vehicle in Bangalore Jan/dec morning weather 17-18deg) was also rectified..
Not-so Good things
1.) The shock absorbers in the front is quite bad.. may be I can call its Indian quality.. though the pillion rider was not able to feel that.. but as a driver I can easily feel the un-comfortableness while bumping into Bangalore horrible speed(tyre) breakers. if the speed-reducers were bit smooth then its ok.
I did not notice this with Active which I felt was having better shock-proof.
2.) the front space between the seat and handle bar(leg room for the driver) is quite small. Initially while buying the vehicle could realize that.. But now my kid has grown a bit taller and if he stands inthat space. I could not keep my legs properly.. something to do with vehicle desiign
3.) at 30-40kmph I was able to hear some wired vibration/noise from the engine for past 2 months. Which I complained to the servicing guys. but not sure what they understood. they could not rectify that.. or its my illusion.
So far I still feel the vehicle is not that bad a choice as I m seeing lotz of wegos running in my streets.
Best rgds

------/
Almost 5th week running , my Black -TVSWego (for 51K @ Tristar motor , inner ring road, domlur , bangalore) I bought is not that bad a vehicle form TVS.
I had the following options before narrowing down at wego..
1.) Activa -- declined as waiting time more and price is 4/5 k higher than Wego(or rather my budge is onl 50K)
2.) Access -- bit heavier than Activa and same 4+ wks waiting time..
(My wife cannot push/pull the these 2 vehicles out of a parking lots during the test drive - so its also the reason for dropping these).
Now left over is Fiber body vehicle, which I was bit hesitant to invest 42/44k for pep, pleasure etc..
then Finally decided to try our some new vehicles..
1.) TVS wego --> finally decided (no techinical aspects thought before)
2.) mahindra RODEO/flyte -- rejected as service centers are not near to my house. almost 6-10km away
3.) honda - DIO -costly and again waiting period
WEGO after 1month usage review
1.) Starting issue in cold weather. Need to always kick start with choke(leave it for 60-90secs) then only you can feel a pick up other wise engine used to cut off. (INDIAN make prolem)
2.) pick up not upto the mark like a Activa/Access. its bit slow. till 30kmph little bit struggles
3.) some wierd noise underneath the front mudgard always comes till 30km/hr speed
4.) Some what feel body parts of not that good quality - for a new metal body vehicle.
GOOD things
1.) easily managable in parking, pushing, pulling. (for women it should be easy compared to activa/access)
2.) looks I m satisfied.
3.) colors (less) but I m ok with that I & my wife like BLACK . So no 2nd options in my and my-wifes mind
4.) Balance is good
5.) smooth riding at 40-50kmph.
Overall. I will say Wego is worth try (if you want to try out something new)..
if you want to go with old-man kind of advice then I say WEGO is 70(s)-30(no)..
(Note: foreign models are always have some comfort zone over indian - but price and time you need to compromise -. My lesson)
HAPPY wegoooooooooooooing.
Thanks.
