Here is a list of songs which have colored my attitudes, shaped my life and been a part of personality:

The idyllic, carefree days of youth. A special summer that lingers in the memories forever. This song has the most amazing 6-string guitar playing. It’s all about looking back at time with fondness. No regrets. It’s cool to be alone, walking on a dark night, whistling this song to yourself. It’s great to driving on a lonely afternoon, humming this song to yourself. Sometimes the best company is your own self…. And this song.

This song will touch the most tender spot in your heart. It is so exquisite, like a delicate crystal you are afraid to touch. It will make you believe in love. I especially love the lines ‘to let her hold you till you know how she needs to be touched you’ve gotta breath her and really taste her until you can feel her in your blood’.

So how many of us feel totally alone in a crowd? I bet all of us, at one time or another.  And did you ever dream of some imaginary friend(s) who would make all the loneliness go away and kiss away all the blues? Well, I did. And this song touches that chord.

This is a song to listen to when you are down in the dumps, when nothing seems to go right. I have often broken down while listening to this song, but felt oddly more relaxed and cleansed afterwards. So it’s a therapy for your wounds.

A beautiful song about a child-woman who can take your heart and make it hers without any effort. She will change your life and you will be too enchanted with her to realize any better. This song is for all those poor men who have fallen hard for some femme fatale and lived to tell.

The lady in red

Red is my favorite color. Whenever I listen to this song, I can see visions of a romantic, starlit night, a lovely lady in a red evening gown, diamonds and pearls and an enchanting proposal.
