I think I should add my opinion here as being a musician at heart for years.This category and topic is a good one and it would probably make the people of the same taste meet more easily.Here are my 20 goldies(not in order of favour, randomly):
1)BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER-Simon&Garfunkel-:Not a well remembered song when these artists are mentioned but as u know the real beauties and talents always hide themselves in the shadows.Beautiful composition for its melody and lyrics together, the wonderful duet of the singers and there stands a masterpiece!
2)WILD WORLD-Cat Stevens-:An oldie but goldie again.Fabulous, unplugged combination of guitar and piano with the enchanting melody.Don’t miss the lyrics;as good as the melody.
3)SORRY SEEMS TO BE THE HARDEST WORD-Elton John-:Another one from the shadows again.Excellent combination of the violins and piano with an outstanding melody full of sadness.I repeat once more, the instrument composition and the melody are’unique’.
4)LIVIN’ ON A PRAYER-Bon Jovi-:Everyone knows this one for it’s high rhytm quality and wonderful hard rock sound.The best of Bon Jovi and one of the best of hard rock!
5)RIGHT HERE WAITING-Richard Marx-:And what about this one?The incredible’show’ of the piano and classical guitar with keyboard accomodation!One of the best love songs ever!
6)FOREVER IN LOVE-Kenny G-:A magnificient instrumental song with the Grammy award.In this song you feel like romantism is’raining like cats and dogs from the sky’.
7)POUR SOME SUGAR ON ME-Def Leppard-:As a band fan I could not ignore this one.Best of the band and a’milestone’ track in hard rock!
8)LADY STARLIGHT-Scorpions-:Another shadow warrior!In the original version you will hear the electrical guitar solo at the end of the song which will enchant you!
9)TOO MUCH LOVE WILL KILL YOU-Queen-:You think this is a strange selection between all those great Queen songs?Better listen carefully with the understanding of the words first, then decide.
10)SOLDIER OF FORTUNE-Deep Purple-:A classical beauty we can never ignore.One of the’fathers’ of hard rock.
11)ENDLESS LOVE-L.Richie, D.Ross-:The great film and it’s magnificient song!In fact my favourite of love songs!Will never forget it till I die.
12)CHARIOTS OF FIRE-Van Gelis-:A movie song which opens new dimensions to your mind;a song like a disease you would never like to be cured!
13)BOAT ON THE RIVER-Styx-:Phewww!This gold shines so bright leaving our eyes blind!
14)SHAPE OF MY HEART-Sting-:A Sting classic with a beautiful guitar playing.A’landmark’ song for Sting.
15)EVERY BREATHE YOU TAKE-Police-:Another Sting classic!The band fans’ number one!Unforgettable.
16)WILD BOYS-Duran Duran-:I know you will not agree with this one.But according to me it’s a pearl still shining after all those years!
17)WALK OF LIFE-Dire Straits-:You know this one very well.Another goldie.
18)ETERNAL FLAME-Bangles-:I know they the group is not one of the’kings’.But I could never ignore this song;burn eternally!
19)BED OF NAILS-Alice Cooper-:Another one you may not agree.Well I think it burns up the blood with the great rhytm!
20)DONNA-Richie Valens-:A gentle wind from the past.Exquisite sound of those brilliant years.
