Picking up top 20.not just close call, its impossible to do. My choices vary so much, I hardly can do it. My choice changes with time and mood. Its not that I start to hate the music and start to love them, its just that I prefer to listen something at one time and something else at other. But there are a few all time choices too.I am not talking of just one song, its whole album, otherwise its not worth to me to collect whole album for one song. If you listen to them you can pickup twenty songs easily. The choices here are not listed by superiority or rank, I am just mentioning them in, one by one.
1.Mirza ghalib.it has so much deep insighted vision, awesome and when sung by jagjit singh, its too good. Best is’bazee chae atfal’. But its not a love song. So the best love song(better say Ghazal) in the album is’Unke dekhe se’. This album(collection os ghazals and sher) is worth
2.another album I loved is’Tum yaad Aye’ by alka yagnik, written by Javed Akhtar. What should I say about this album? Each and every song is more than the other one. very sweet songs and language is also easy to understand. It will be injustice to pick one. Still Title song’Tum yaad aye’ and the opening album of song’Sare sapne kahan koh gaye’. If you dont like this album, then you are not even the least romantic.
3.Alisha’s Made in India is another all time favorite. the best song is ofcourse’Made in India’ I also liked the beat of’Lover Girl’
4.Umaro Jann is movie based album which I like in whole. Main cause is https://lyrics. My Favorite is’Jindigi jab bhi’ well sung by Talat aziz.
There is one Song collection of Kishore by HMV. The collection is named’Mohabbat’. This collection has awesome collection of Kishore songs. Although my favorite is’Bhawre ki gunjan hai mera dil’ There are many more favorites. Check out the album.
One collection is for Dewanand, again by HMV. Its a collection of four cassettes, and believe me most of the songs are class. My favorite’Din dahl jaye’ from movie guide.’Guide’ is one of the classics by Devanand himself. Too good of the movie with some very good songs. His movie’Jewel Theif’ is also good and there are songs from that movie in the album.
One of my favorite lyrics writer is Gulzar. There is one collection of Gulzar, again by HMV, and guess what my favourite is? This song is really good and I love it’Dil dhoondta hai’ from movie Mausam. This songs give me the nostalgic feeling which takes away all pains and leave me relaxed.Its a real romantic song. Another good song is’Hamne dekhi hai’ from movie Khamoshi(old movie, not new one)
8.’Anand’ one of the best movies by Rhishikesh Mukherjee, has the music which touches the heart. Its always going to be among favorites. Its romance with life/death, kahi door jab din dhal jaye, Meine tere liye saath rang ke ., so romantic.Recently Hollywood try to copy the idea in movie’sweet November’, but the magic was missing.
9.Lets add some new movies to the list. Dil Se is one. Awesome music by A.R. rahman. Many other to the list like Kuch Kuch hota hai, Dilwale Dulahniya le jayenge, Kaho na pyaar hai.also some other movies with good music scores.
- Lastly I would like to mention one movie which very few people will remember. This is’Thesri kassam’, Mukesh has given the life to simple folk music in this movie, bhojpuri songs has been sung by Mukesh in a very sweet manner.’Pinjre wali muniya’, ’Duniya banane wale’ and other good sweet songs.
I have a long list. But for now its enough, please tell me if you like my choice.Enjoy this bilssful music. You will find it nowhere else but India. Atleast something is still left in this country to be proud of.
