Well music is the food of life and I fully agree with the adage.
I have a huge range of music which I listen to so choosing favourites will be difficult. I shall put them down in random order anyway.
1. Careless Whisper(George Michael)
An all time favourite, I used to freak out when I was in school and during different phases of my life, teenager, youth, adult . this song holds a different meaning for me! Great lyrics . great tunes. I also like his’Last Christmas’.
2. River Of Dreams (Billy Joel)
One of my favourite singers, I also like Uptown Girl, Piano Man , etc.
3. Hazzard(Richard marx)
I freak out on this song. makes me go all gooey inside. this man knows how to strum my soul strings. I also like his Days In Avalon, Should have known Better, Right here waiting for you , etc.
4. Stars( Simply Red)
Song is simply cool. I can listen to it endlessly. Makes me very sentimental.
5. Liberian Girl ( Michael Jackson)
Amazing song from Michael Jackson. I also like his ’Billie Jean’, ’They dont really care about us’, ’Blood on the dance Floor’. I listen to these songs when I am in a peppy mood.Makes my mood very upbeat.
6. Genie In a Bottle(Christina Aguilera)
I like to hear this song just because of the beat. I like her ’Lady Marmalade’ too.
7. Aint It Funny( Jennifer Lopez)
This is the only song which I like to listen to from her collection. I like the music . very Gypsy-ish.:):)
8. Quit Playing Games with my heart(Backstreet Boys)
This song also makes me feel very romantic . very nice song to relax too.
9. Hotel california( Eagles)
Another all time favourite ( I like the latest live version). I also like their ’Desperado’, ’Dust in the Wind’, etc.
10. Its My life (Jon Bon Jovi)
This sets my mood for a party. I like the guitar pieces in his albums, other favourites are ’Blaze of Glory’, ’You give love a bad name’, etc .
11. Hey Mr DJ( Madonna)
THis lady has the ability to come up with a different concept in each of her songs. She is like fine wine. She gets better with each song. Other favourites are ’La Isla Bonita’, ’Dont Tell Me’, ’Frozen’, ’Fever’, ’This used to be my Playground’, ’Fever’, ’Dont Cry For me Argentina’, etc
12. Winds Of Change( Scorpions)
Well this group has been my favourite since I was in school.
I also like their ’Still Loving You’, ’You and I’, ’Rhythm of Love’, ’Rock You like a Hurricane’, etc
13. Smoke on the water.( Deep Purple)
Amazing group. my favourites. also like their ’Hush’, ’Child in Time’, etc
14. Country Songs
I freak out on Country . Love to hear songs of John Denver( Annie’s song), Alan jackson(It Must be love), Jhonny Cash, Dan Seals( Meet me in Montana), Dolly Parton, Faith Hill( If My heart had wings), Garth Brooks( Friends in Low places), George Strait( Carrying your Love), Randy Travis, Vince Gill, Willie Nelson, etc to mention just a few of them. Can Listen to them anywhere. anytime.
15. Are you Lonesome tonight? ( Elvis Presley)
Well when I am relaxing I like to listen to him . I also like his ’Crying in the Chapel’, ’In the Ghetto’, ’Blue Heaven’, etc
16. Great balls of fire(Jerry Lewis)
Great song . I put him in the category of Elvis.
17. Cajun Moon(J.J. Cale)
I love the depth of his voice .chills me out . I also like his ’Cocaine’, ’Tijuana’, etc.
18. All for you(Janet Jackson)
Amazing singer and dancer. I like the videos too. Her songs have got good rhythm and can be used in parties.
19. Division Bell( Pink Floyd)
Absolutely cool group. They do amazing live shows and their videos and songs are very thoughtful. it sticks to one’s mind.
20. Cecilia - Simon and Garfunkel
I like almost all his songs. great songs and great melody. I also like their ’Hazy shade of Winter’, ’Flowers never bend with the rainfall’, etc.
Besides all these I also like listening too Toni Braxton( Unbreak My heart), Pat Boone( Love Letters in the sand) Neil Diamond( September Morning), Phil Collins( Another Day in Paradise), Metallica, Meatloaf, Elton John( DOnt go breaking My heart), Mark KNopfler( Dire Straits), Julio Iglesius, Enrique Iglesius, Bryan Adams( Summer of 69), Eric Clapton, Deff Leppard, No Doubt( Dont Speak), Shakin Stevens, Lionel Richie( Hello, Stuck On You, etc) etc etc etc . the list is endless!
