I started listening to popular western or english music when I was 10 Std. The songs I used to listen to were from the POP genre of music and I didnt even know what Rock was. I think I matured with the passing time and now Good music(synonym for rock) is a very integral part of my life.
I fell in love with some serious artists like Sting quite early in life, and I still crave forserious songs.
Some of the favorite songs are given below, they may not be the best songs ever, but these songs have affected me in some way or other. I want it to beinconventional in a way, ie I want to put some songs that are not listed by others.
1.Soul Cages - Am starting with Sting cos he is one of my favorite artists and I just love this song.
I have a wager the brave child spoke and
the fisherman laughed, though eclisped at the joke.
You will drink, what I drink, but you must equal me,
and if the drink leaves me standing a soul shall go free
I have here a cask of the most magical wine
- Ooops, I forgot the next sentence.
Its wrung from the blood of the sailors who died,
young while bodies adrift in the tide
- I could just go on on and on.
2.Dancing in the dark - One of the first Bruce Springsteen songs I fell in love with. My favorite album is Human Touch though. Great song this one.
3.Runaway Train - By Soul Asylum affected me because of the message in the song and the video, which actually helped in getting information about lot of missing children, basically ruanways
Runawy train never coming back
run away on an one way track.
4.Cats in the cradle was a song by Ugly kid joe which I found extremely disturbing. Listen to it and you will find why.
5.Tears in heaven too is a very emotional song by the veteran Eric Clapton
6.Jamies got a gun - Lot of you might have heard this song from Aerosmith and hence am not saying what this songs about.
7.Bat out of hell was the first Meatloaf song that I heard. He made a terrific come back with Bat out of hell - Back to hell which too had some nice tracks.
8.Seeds of love by Tears for fears was a great song. Dont know what happend to them.
9.Suicide Blonde by INXS was different so I loved it.
10.Addicted to love is by Robert Palmer Got catchy lyrics
Your heart sweats, your body shakes
Another kiss is what it takes, You cant sleep, you cant eat
Your throat is tight, you cant breathe,
Another kiss is all you need
Gonna have to face it, youre addicted to love

12.Blaze of glory by Bon Jovi from the young guns sound track.
13.Whos gonna ride your wild horses is a very good song by U2, but I dont know how popular it is. I like it very much though.
14.Light my fire by Doors. I personally feel that Jim Morrison was a very nice guy, but was misunderstood by many.:-)
You know that it would be untrue,
You know that I would be a liar
If I was to say to you, Girl,
we couldnt get much higher
Come on baby, light my fire
15.Another Brick in the Wall Part 2 How can this review miss out Pink Floyd. Want to put in some parts of the https://lyrics.
We dont need no education
We dont need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers leave them kids alone

16.Since I dont have you is a song from the not so popular GnR album, The Spaghetti Incident. Good!
