3.5 Stars is the precisely what I would rate this book. Twilight is a book that attracts a lot of readers because it isn’t a simple love story but it’s love between a human and a vampire. This is the striking feature of the book. Love in this case isn’t easy. Bella Swan and Edward Cullen seem to be attracted to each other. But this being for different reasons. Usually in a love story the main characters are attracted because they seem to have a crush. But here Edward thirsted for Bella(her blood) and Bella didn’t exactly know what she liked or wanted of Edward. They both seem to catch up with each other in the biology classes and then slowly a sort of bonding develops. This is truly indescribable. Bella finds Edward mysterious. She wants to know a lot about him but Edward is reluctant to throw it out. As time goes, Edward’s secrets are revealed one by one and Bella wants more and more about him. The concept of vampires, their thirst for blood is really nice to know about. The story seems to take an interesting turn when Jacob Black enters. He belongs to a clan who are typically capable of turning into wolves. So he meets Bella and tells her about him and they against the vampires and other related stuff. Stephenie Meyer has made a great effort in not revealing Jacob completely which makes the reader wanting to read the second book THE NEW MOON. The first part of the book is really interesting and the reader wouldn’t close the book but as the story proceeds it lags a bit though. But the last of the final part of the book is also amazing. James enters the show which engrossed the reader thoroughly until the end. Overall it is an awesome book and I loved reading it. I am going to tell something that may hurt someone but I am extremely sorry for that. I find some striking similarities between TWILIGHT and FIFTY SHADES OF GREY. First of all in both these stories the male is dominant in the relationship and you could find the female a bit feeble. Both are romance stories but the Twilight is some kind of supernatural romance and Fifty Shades of Grey is erotic romance. The stories of both is dealt in depth in the relationship between the main characters. The cover pictures of both these books seem to be attractive and something different. An apple held in two hands in case of Twilight and a tie in case of Fifty Shades of Grey. In my case the ratings that I’ve given to both these books is almost the same. This is what I felt about these books. I’m sorry if I’ve hurt the feelings of any of the fans of these two books. But I truly enjoyed reading Twilight. Looking forward to read the NEW MOON.
