Uber is the biggest competitor of Ola in India and after the Rape Case filed on one of its Driver, it gained much more popularity here.
I will be sharing my personal experience that I often face while booking a ride from Uber. On 7th April, 2021; I booked an Uber auto from it’s app. The price was ₹68 after a promotional coupon of ₹20 OFF. Since, it was below than the actual price of ride so no driver was accepting the ride. After waiting for 5 mins, we got a notification that the ride has been booked and the driver is on his way. Soon after this notification, the driver called us and asked for the drop location. When we told the drop location to him, he cancelled the ride after realising that the fare was much low. After a few minutes, another driver accepted the ride and very soon he also did the same thing.
I think that drivers are not happy with the fares that are being offered to the riders from the company. But that’s not our fault. Just because they are not happy with the pricing and promotional coupons, we suffer a lot. This also hinders the reputation of the company.
Although I don’t have screenshot of those moments but I’m pretty sure that most of us must have faced such issues.
