If Uber continues with such irresponsible drivers, they are going to lose their reputation, creditability, customers and competitiveness.
Yesterday I booked Uber at 7.15 a.m from Vikas Puri to Gurgaon, I called him to know when will he reach for pick-up and he talked about the traffic at Gurgaon toll. I told him to come fast as I could see his location on app, he was just 1minute away from my pick-up point. I kept on waiting till 07.35 a.m and could see in my app that his car was not even moving from his location. I called him and he said he is coming. I called him again after 5 minutes, he stopped picking up my calls now. I was getting late for my office. I called him again and again and kept on checking his status on my app. he did not make a move from where his car was standing. I did not understand why was he not coming. His car was just 1 minute away from where I was. It was 07.50 am(35 minutes gone).
I booked Ola which took another 10 min to come and left for office at 8.00 a.m(heavy traffic time), but did not cancel Uber.
Problems that I have to face because of this Uber Driver:
I kept on standing on road for half an hour, waiting for him because he told me he is coming in a minute.
I reached my office late and had to face the consequences.
Morning peak hours are so crucial and my 45 minutes were wasted in the early morning because of this driver.
Later, in the evening, I checked Uber cab’s status and saw that he had shown my drop at a nearby place and it was shown that I paid Rs.2.31 for that. The driver didnt even turn up and this was being shown at my app.
If he didnt want to go, he could have told it directly, rather than making me wait and wasting my crucial time. His behaviour was completely unprofessional, unaccountable and irresponsible.
