I took Uber ride on 19th Nov 2014 from my new account. I had credits worth 300 in my account as Uber’s offer. However, Uber did not use my credits even after I clicked on use credits option. I lost Rs289 as Uber has useless policy of tagging credit card.
Even bigger problem is that we can not contact them as they are afraid of providing the number too. Some guy Akshay, (Don’t know whether he exists) keeps mailing about availability of free rides which is never the true.
Rates of uber are too high compared to Ola and Meru. Also, the concept of surge pricing - only time they charge normally in Bangalore is after midnight.
