Uber service is a fraud on customers.I am stationed in Pune. On couple of occasions, I booked a cab and waited for it.The driver did not call.On calling him he showed his inability and asked to cancel.I refused .Afterwards I made my own arrangements.Then I got messages that driver had cancelled. In spite of that I was charged for cancellation and was added to my bill.When I contacted customer care executive I was told that no complaints are taken on phone.Their app is so designed that one cannot submit the complaint.
On 15th October, I booked a cab from Pune Airport to my residence at Kondhwa. I got details of ride.The driver’s name was Dushant and the cab was Maruti Suzuki Swift.This happened at 17.20. Since he did not call, I called him and told him to come for pick up point.Later he called me back telling me that his mobile and device are not working, Surprisingly he was calling from the same number .He asked me to cancel the trip which I refused.There was another uber cab present at the site.The driver told me that he can drop me at my residence.The estimated cost of ride was Rs293/- But he asked for Rs.400/-and I had to pay the same.
On my way to home I got message that driver had cancelled the trip and now I am charged with Rs. 63 as cacellation fee.
I called the customer care and was rudely told that we do not take complaints on phone neither bookings.I wonder what the hell customer care number is for?
So this is a loot and there is no way I can complain to Uber.
So better avoid Uber and look for alternative.
