In this Diwali festive occasion, many gift vouchers were freely available at different sites and places. Out of which one was of Uber Cab which was giving coupon of Rs. 250 free on its first cab ride.
On a one fine day when I was having my exams, I decided to go with uber cab instead with bus or train and waste my time. So I downloaded uber app from playstore.
On 1: 30 pm I decided to book a ride after 15 minutes so that I can reach college at max to max 2: 30. But what I see is no cabs available. I clicked on ride later, it prompted a message that one should book a ride before an hour.
I was confused on what to do and then I saw a cab on my map and booked it applying the coupon. My location on gps of my mobile was on borivali west and the location on drivers gps was on borivali east.
After 5 minutes he called me up and asked where am I because he came from west to east. I told to proper his gps and look that I am in west. The driver apologized me and said to book another cab nearby the area.
When I cancelled the ride my coupon showed it is used once and cant be used again. I was shocked and confused. I left uber and picked up auto else I would be late for my exams.
Overall a worst experience with ubet service and a request to all that dont tely on uber cabs for an urgent delivery.
