Nil Customer service. Fraudulent service provider.

I used to be an ardent fan of UBER service for quite a while, now they made me fool out of it. I’d earned free credits and rides worth Rs.2000 in a legitimate manner as per their so called "referral policy" and "terms of service". One day, all of a sudden their system has flagged my account and revoked all free rides.


a) I’ve not used more than one account from the same device.


b) I’ve not promoted my referral credit thro’ search engine or coupon sites. It was always thro’ personal persuasion, I made my friends join uber.


Still they revoked all my free credits and free rides all of a sudden. When I complain this to their support(which is only thro’ email), I get a standard reply saying this is a system generated flag with no manual intervention in the process. They fail to give me the proof of violation and also fail to give me the escalation system.


This is the response I got "I am afraid I do not have further info as this is a system generated flag with no manual intervention in the process. Our system is the same across the 200+ cities that we operate in. It flags suspicious accounts and disables the application of promotions on these accounts and in some cases even cuts off access to these accounts.


I hope you can understand that these security features need to be built in to prevent misuse of our services and to prevent users from creating accounts for the sole purpose of taking free rides. You might not have had that intention, however, the system cannot differentiate between the two situations and frankly, there really is no way for anyone else to distinguish the two either.


I am afraid I really cannot be of any more help with this than I already have, which is to say, that I have ensured you continue to have uninterrupted access to our services."


When I ask for escalation process for unsatisfactory responses and unresolved issues, no one shares the escalation process. So you are stuck with these bunch of arrogant first level customer care persons.


For any problem or any issue, you’ll always end up with this first level hopeless customer service only, who neither listens to your query. I wonder if they even have a human behind that support reply or is it again the system firing automated replies. Many a times, uber driver has confirmed my pickup, but then in few minutes calls me with an excuse and suggesting me to cancel the pickup. Even in those situations, you cannot reach anyone from Uber over phone to sort out the issue with driver. You are just on your own with UBER. When your cab driver doesn’t pick you up, they want you to reach customer care over email and who knows how sooner they will respond and resolve it. By that time, what happens to your travel plan?  This is such a fraudulent company who cares B-L SH-T about riders travel plans, concerns, and safety. Just bcoz they have a sound finance backing doesn’t mean they can do business in such an arrogant fashion.


I HATE UBER!
