I used Uber cabs frequently in the month of June as I was in Delhi for some work.Its easy to book and catch a cab at your doorstep. Though sometimes I felt that rates were bit high but I guess that depends on the demand of the cab. Like I used to go to Delhi university from Patparganj and it was very convenient to just use your phone app and get the ride.I paid different rates on different days as if I used to book the cab one hour before then rates were proper, but if I wanted a taxi instantly then the charges were higher.
The good thing was thatI could go easily from my house in an AC cab without any hassle as the cab charges would show us before only by the app. You get the phone number and the name of the cab driver so you can contact for your journey.For us it never used to take time reaching to our destination as the map used to show everything.But if you cancel a booked cab then they will take cancellation charges as per their rule. You can book an individual or a sharing cab according to your convenience.
Once I used to take the cab I used to forward driver’s name and contact to my family if I was alone. Also I could check from the app if thecab is traveling to right direction.
I also took uber auto many times and they are cheaper and good forgoing short distance. I found this service good and easy but I have also heard many complaints against Uber cabs like some people complain about high charges or not reaching to their destination at desired time and other issues.But except for one two time I didn’t had to really wait for the driver and the rates were also reasonable.
Here I would like to mention one thing if we speak about safety nothing is trustful these days.We ourselve only have to take steps and be alert. When traveling alone by any cab its better to share the information about your cab and its driver with your friend or family.Be alert use the help of map so you know the directions and don’t let anyone share the cab with you, even if the driver requests.
