I had placed an order thru Uber Eats app last month. After waiting for long and still app showing “order not accepted by the restaurant” i called up customer care. After being kept on hold for more than 3 minutes when i confronted and asked for cancelling the order, i was told that order has been confirmed. However, my app still showed the old status that order confirmation pending. I cancelled the order since it was already more than 30min and more 30min was likely to be taken for delivery. To my surprise and shock, last week when i was booking Uber Cab, an amount of Rs.230/- was adjusted for the cancelled order on uber eats.
I feel this is cheating, arm twisting. My mails to customer care have nt yielded any positive results and UBER staff is arrogant. Uber india, must get their business ethics right else would be ruined
