I think the crowd in Udhayam nowadays is basically from the nearby slums.
Infact some among them are also involved in selling ’’Black’’ tickets
with the help of theatre authorities. This can be best witnessed during
night shows where you can see more people in lungis selling tickets
than in pants. Even the people who watch the movies come in traditional
lungies.
Udhayam could have easily become one of the most popular multiplex due
to its strategic location alone, but thanks to the efforts of the
authorities its become a rubbish theatre.
Udhayam was once among the popular destination for theatre goers. But
as our Vivek’s most famous comic line goes ’’Yeppadi
irundhanaaan...ippidi aagitein’’, U could very well say that to poor
Udhayam now.
Coming to the parking area. the theatre has a unique distinction of
having its car parking area right in front of the theatre. Thats just
for information.No comments on it. Dont worry...2 wheelers are parked
in a seperate place.
Now if u r concerned only abt watching movie and getting glued to the
seats, even then its a problem because u will have insects bitting u if
u try to occupy their seats. I musnt be too crirtical abt this since
these insects dont occupy all the seats.
During Intreval u will have the real flavour of Udhayam. U go outside
the room and u can see smokes every where and if u try to avoid it by
taking a divertion towards toilet..baby u r into smelling something
great.
