Mai producer Anurag kashyap and directed by Abhishek chaubey movie Udta Punjab is totally based on drug addiction in north Indian state Punjab. Two stories going together, one from drug fighter side(Kareena kapoor khan as Doctor And Diljit Dosanjh as a Cop) and other one is drug addiction(Shahid kapoor as Tommy singh as Gabru). And Alia bhatt(Kumari pinky)as a field worker in a field which is near by border and find a harsh and after that Alia story begin.
"Udta Punjab" is a performance oriented movie. Among the four main lead role character, Alia Bhatt steals the show. The gifted actor is simply superb as Biharan(who’s belongs to Bihar state) who lands herself as a migrant( though she is state-level hockey player). Watch out for her when she kills the guy responsible for her messy state by continuously venting out her frustration. Shahid Kapoor was just about okay in the role that required more intense which was clearly missing. Kareena Kapoor was subtle as Preet. Kareena play a very positive and attractive role. She is very attractive in a simple role, Diljit Dosanjh was a good surprise and played a real cop role. The Punjabi superstar manages to make an impression inspite of his first Bollywood film.
Doc and Cop together do some hard work and collect evidence for corrupted politician and other side Gabru and kumari pinky meet when both run away and tell about yourself.
Plot of movie is very good and how to fight against drug is showing in this movie in very positive way because Doc and Cop start searching for evidence from base and talk about cast performance, Kareena and Diljit are very good but Shahid and Alia’s acting not up to the mark. Sound track like "Ikk kudi", " da da dasse" I love these songs. Over all movie is average, You can watch with your family and aware your children and other with drugs uses.
