Ultratech cement is good but what about construction workers quality?
I write this review at a time when city Chennai, Tamilnadu (India) has been shocked by cracks in a famous builders new apartment complex. Before a thorough investigation even started, every one of us quickly blamed construction company, contractor, engineer and architect. Here is my recent experience that could alter this bias because there is another often overlooked crucial factor - construction workers.
Without engaging contractor or engineer for finishing a simple wall that could turn a metal sheet roofed area into a room and wrongly thinking that an experienced construction foreman or chief mason should be able to finish it, my widowed mother embarked on a simple construction for home improvement. Cunning construction foreman or chief mason reassured my widowed and aged mother about robustness of new wall for future concrete ceiling thus gaining substantial funds for it. Around £800 of widowed mothers savings spent for material and wages. Purchased twice the estimated quantity of cement and Im certain of it because I took trips for such purchases and thus avoided any inconvenience to my aged mother. We now find the new wall to be brittle at the top end of window space. So-called Experienced construction foreman or chief mason recommended by so-called trustworthy acquaintances deliberately messed it and swindled my widowed mother. So next time when you hear a bridge collapsing or cracks in dam or apartment cracks, dont presume the reason to be construction companys cost cutting measures in cement purchases or engineers fault. There is another factor called construction workers. They certainly ruined my widowed mothers home improvement work for which we purchased limitless cement bags as much as they needed. So in our case only problem being construction foreman or chief mason
