I bought two Uniconnect SIM for Kenya recently. On purchase I was informed that all I need to do is dial the Nos on the Quick reference guide and the SIMs will be activated.
On arrival in Nairobi we dialled the No and it gave an error message. When we called the customer services local offices of our service provide YU we were informed vide a recorded message that our outgoing and incoming calls have been barred and we need to go visit the nearest dealer.
We ran around trying to locate a dealer and even the other service provider safari.com the largest in Kenya had no clue on YUs outlets.
Uniconnect as far as Africa /Kenya is concerned has no clue on the service provider nor the dealers. I would never recommend Uniconnect SIMs and its better to buy a local SIM on destination.
