A CASE TO BELIEVE UTI’S HEIGHT OF INEFFICIENCY AND INSENSITIVITY TO SPECIFIC CUSTOMER COMPLAINT:
I went from pillar to post at the UTI office in Chennai during the past three months to get my US64 Bonds, in lieu of US64 Unit certificates offered for conversion. I visited a dozen times, spending money, efforts and undergoing agony at the poorly manned office, in the guise of BPO! and, picked up only some info!
Against three US64 unit certificates, I learnt that Investor ID of 80356412 for 125 Bonds against the first US64 Certificate and Investor ID of 80356463 for 563 Bonds against the balance two US64 Certificates were allotted; I was aghast to learn that Bond Certificates were not even printed. After several follow ups to UTI office in Chennai, now I learn that one consolidated US64 Bond Certificate for 688 units with Investor ID 80022735 has been sent out. I have checked with the post offices and courier offices and learn that NO MAIL/POST WAS RECEIVED from UTI office for me in this regard.
During my last trip to the Chennai UTI office, there was a lone officer in the 2nd level who tried to help. But, the computer system display info could not be deciphered by him, though he talked with his colleagues at UTIISL, Mumbai office. The screen info did not mention whether the bond certificate was sent, when and how?! I e-mailed my concern with a deep request for help to senior officials of UTIISL in Mumbai; but, no one seems to bother!
It’s a great insult and agony for me, a senior citizen, who put in life’s savings with UTI. I have surfed several sites of UTI, there is no phone number nor e-mail ID’s of any official to approach and to seek help!
Can any one help by taking the matter to the UTI top brass to help me get my US64 Bond Certificate asap?
