I stayed in this celestial property for 2 N 3 D with my family this week- must confess that this is an excellent place for a thorough rejuvenation.
The positives;
Superb location away from the Ootys mad crowd, on a hill with a tea garden. The cottages are in between tea shrubs with a beautiful view of the valley. Both mornings and evenings are unimaginably beautiful and cool. The rooms are well built and maintained. Mornings are simply heavenly with the clouds virtually slipping into your room. I have never seen such a view till recently in my life though I have traveled so widely . Simply exotic is my verdict.
The hospitality and food are excellent. The choice of food can be improved though.
Staff- Mostly very friendly and well behaved. Safe place with mostly families occupying the resort. No menace of drunkards and eve teasers(at least when we stayed). The Manager Mr.Manohar needs a special mention.
Linen and towels- quite clean and hygienic
The negatives
Housekeeping can be better. The toilets can be cleaner. Our rooms were not cleaned on day 2 and we had to request the front office to clean up our rooms.
Parts of the wall inside the rooms need repainting.
No swimming pool(although I dont swim, this can be a value add)
But overall, this is one of the best resorts that I have ever lived in. Would love to visit it again and again in the coming years. I suggest travelers to simply stay in the resort and not move around Ooty town if you want a real break.
