United Kingdom is a lovely place to visit for a short holiday. I have been travelling to U.K. for the past 15 years on practically a yearly basis and I would highly recommend anybody travelling to not leave U.K. out of their itinerary. The country has a rich heritage and tonnes of History behind it. It has got architecture and Landmarks from the days of Old and the people are friendly...mainly in the suburban areas. The countryside is too die for as it is so beautiful and transportation is A-One. With such a rich heritage no wonder the cuisines available are in their hundreds and best of all...there is no shortage of Indian Food outlets as it is the in thing these days..Curry. The shopping in London is of international standards and the variety of things to do is mind boggling. From seeing landmarks like the Tower of England, Madamme Tussauds museum and Big Ben to travelling a short distance to Greenwich village to stand on the time line of the world, to all the pubs and discos...one can spend a lifetime in London and still have a new thing to do everyday. The best time to travel is in Mid June thru August as it gets warm (by delhi Standards it is still in the mid 20s centigrade).
