This review is about https://univercell.in website, the experience while purchasing products on it and their customer service. I wanted to purchase Micromax A116 Canvas HD mobile phone on https://univercell.in website as it was available only on 2 websites(the other one was https://infibeam.com. Univercell was offereing the mobile at 13, 999 and infibeam at 14, 500). This particular model is in a huge demand and I was pretty much excited about buying it.
On March 30, 2013 (Saturday) at around 2pm in the afternoon I opened the https://univercell.in website and put a buy order for Micromax A116 canvas HD mobile phone. In the payment page I entered my ICICI bank credit card details for the full payment. Once I entered the details along with my visa secure code and pressed confirm, the website hanged for around 5 minutes. But within few seconds of pressing the confirm I got an SMS on my mobile from ICICI bank saying that I have been charged Rs.13999.
After around 5 minutes, the https://univercell.in website came back and I was shocked to see that the transaction has failed. And the reason given was decline from the Bank. I even got an e-mail from univercell.in that the purchase was made, but the status was shown as rejected as below:

I immediately tried to call the Univercell customer care no: 044 - 42912345, but after some IVR information it always kept saying "the station you are calling is not available". I kept on trying the same number multiple times, but in vain. Then I found the support number(Tel :+91-8056012234
Email : support@univercell.in) in the mail that I had received from them. I even tried to call that number, but the number was never reachable. I mailed them about the issue.
I was under the impression that since the order is rejected, the vendor (Univercell) will not go for claiming the amount on my credit card from the ICICI bank. On 1st April 2013(Monday) when I checked my icici credit card statement online, to my horror they had gone ahead and claimed that amount on March 31 2013(that was Sunday, but still they claimed that amount but did not care to respond to my e-mail).
I immediately called the ICICI customer care and had to raise the dispute against univercell. Even today, I am not able to reach their customer care number. It was a big blunder buying something on https://univercell.in website. Univercell. These are some rogue people and should be put behind the bars for cheating innocent citizens.
I am crossing my fingers and waiting for the refund of the payment that I have made. Pray for me guys to get out of this horrible mess called as UNIVERCELL.
