My name is Syed Waseem and I am a working IT professional. Since I do not have time to go for a regular degree, I opted out for Online MS IT program through Mysore university. My experince has been worst from Day 1. I took admission on 27th January 2015. Prior taking admission, I was assured of getting 24X7 e-libarary access and online recorded videos bla bla.
After paying the first installment of 16500/- I got an access to portal. The first thing which shocked me was that there is not any thing like E-Library and there is just one E-book attached against each subject. Out of 7 subjects, Two books have been missing since Day 1. Every time I called the support, they said it will be uploaded in next week.
Now comes the most pathetic part, the Exams. I has been almost 5 months, their exam tabs are still going through testing phase which means a candidtate is not able to clear the exam even for a subject after studying for 5 months. The semester is of six months.
After repeated email trails, I did not get any satisfactory resolution.Even I hightlighted this issue to their Vice chancellor as well, but never got any revert on the email. I have asked for the refund, but they are clearly denying for refund and even ask me to pay for the next semseter.
They have simply wasted my 5 months plus the hard earned money, I am not going to give it up. I am filing a petition against the University authority. If you are planning to pursue online degree through Mysore university, my suggestion is do not waste your time and efforts here. Rather go for KSOU which costs you just 10, 500 per semster plus unlimited e-study material or else you can go for Manipal university or any other UGC approved university.
