Same day, last year(on October 22, 2011) one of my friend felt a headache and went to this Hospital driving himself on his car & returned home as a corpse. All what happened was a Medical Negligence or Medical Malpractice from the hospital staff which cost precious life of a 28 year old man.
That day morning he felt a head ache & went to Upasana Hospital, Kollam driving himself. He was prescribed to have a medical check-up & got an injection as well. After sometime he collapsed and was admitted in the hospital. He was conscious enough to call his parents and convey he was admitted. His parents reached the hospital along with a relative. By that time he collapsed miserably and was paralyzed. His father informed a staff nurse suddenly, but she wasn’t paying attention to his request. After sometime the patient fell unconscious and had passed away for ever, but his mother never knew he was dead. After that only the doctor came and moved him to the ICU and kept him in the ICU for almost 2 hours even after he was dead and several tests were also claimed to have done on the corpse to keep an impact, the doctors were trying hard to save his life and also they can charge for the tests as well.
What we seen afterwards was embalmed dead body of our dear friend Aneesh Chandra R, who lost his life due to over-dosage of medicines other than the prescribed ones, which occurred at the time of medical check-up in the morning. The hospital is staffed unqualified nurses as well as the management is just running with a profit-motive.
Friends, this is a very frank review and everything listed above is true. We will never get our friend, back in this world. Yet I am posting this review on his first death anniversary, to avoid others from getting this fate. Otherwise, you may also have to post a message like this for your friend. I have attached an obituary picture, which we have designed to list on leading newspapers for the day. You may also check your newspaper, if you are from Kollam District.
Today what I seen was his parents, in a situation not even able to cry hard. Until the same day last year, that house was a very happy one. Everything changed completely for ever in a matter of few hours due to the greed for money & negligence from the hospital.
Please don’t choose this hospital, Save your life. Rest in Peace my dear friend.
