I visited a new restaurant "Urban Nawab" situated on Outer Ring Road, near Marathahalli bridge, Bangalore.
The name intrigued me and they wrote about this "stone grill" on which food is served. So we went there on a saturday evening. First of all - on a sat evening - it was empty. That should have been our cue to go someplace else. But I thought its a new place - may be ppl did not know abt it.
We ordered some Kababs and a Biriyani. They got us a hot stone tile and some uncooked kababs marinated in something I would like to just call "coloured guey stuff". And the stone was so hot that the kababs once placed on it stuck to it like it was a "feviquik" ad.
Biriyani was bought in a small pot sealed with atta (authenticity - the only place where I was impressed). But when he put it in our plate and I took the first bite I realised it was straight out of a refrigerator - cold as it could be. When I asked our attendent - it had the most amazing solution -"no problem Sir, Ill heat it in a microwave and get it". I was amazed - he was surprisingly honest and scary. Finally we waited for another 20 mins for the reheated biriyani to come (god knows which microwave he was using) - and asked for the cheque and left the place disgusted.
So there you have it - if you wanna punish someone for some crime they did against humanity- send them to URBAN NAWAB.
