Urban Clap managed to fix my AC switch, and the price was reasonable, though the guy insisted on buying the new switch from some "shop"(with a kuccha receipt), and taking the money in CASH - WHY he couldn’t give me the FINAL bill, all total, at the end, and take payment online, I don’t know - I have only his word for how much the switch cost. Highly fishy!
But besides that, Urban Clap has no CLUE how to design a computer system. When it was over, the payment link didn’t come by SMS, the guy had to call their call centre and sat their for HOURS to do this - they couldn’t make a separate no. for their STAFF as opposed to regular customers - I have no idea WHY! Finally the slow customer service rep managed to understand that we wanted the payment link by EMAIL, while politely informing me that I had not given them my email address - er, the website didn’t ASK for it, THAT’s why! Finally I did the payment, it went through, and when it’s supposed to go to UrbanClap’s own confirmation page, the logo is just sitting their spinning around - for ages, it doesn’t say "We got payment" or whatever. Like, what is WRONG with you people? If you don’t know how to design a computer system, they why bother setting up this business? You need a REAL-TIME OPERATING SYSTEM, REAL TIME! One that works! I thought India had a BUSTLING software industry, and you can’t find ONE guy to do this?
.So at the end of the day, the actual work got done and the price also was good( less than 400 for the entire thing), but I could have got that from my local electrician. Until they fix their IT - avoid.
