Good product with NO after sales

I’m using this product since August, 2007, without much problem. It cost me Rs.3600/- in Kolkata at that time. The water tastes good after filtration and comes without any smells. But one has to clean it at least once a week which might be a headache with its owners.

I initially experienced overflow with this purifier which basically occurs if somebody opens up the lid without changing the liver position to ’Fill’ from ’Purify’. And if the cartridges are new or not properly cleaned the water might smell like bleaching powder. Initially when I faced these problems and called up the guy from whom I bought the product(who is otherwise very prompt in supplying new cartridges), he gave me the agent’s number and told me that a mechanic from the company will be visiting my place (which the salesman assured me while demonstration). When I called in that number they gave me another number and so on...

Fortunately after using the product for a while I got to know the causes of the problems and didn’t need any expert to fix those.I think the product is good but overpriced. If you want a purifier of this kind which doesn’t require any constant water supply and electricity then there are similar products from Bajaj and Hindustan Unilever(Pureit) which cost around Rs.2000/- and if you have running water supply and can afford a few thousand more you can go for UV based purifiers.
