Its a good facility which is maintained well. Its also relatively cheap. But its ends there - this guy is not an expert. Don;t fall for the cheap rate - the rate is cheap for a reason. I don;t buy the BS abt his daughter - maybe thats true and we salute her for that. But do not put your heart in his hand. Some have had successes.
We have not been. Piece of advice - IF you strictly need a bypass and all other organs(liver, Kidneys, lungs etc) are well and you are not a diabetic - THEN you can probably go there.
But take atleast two other opinions. If two other surgeons suggest CABG - and you are sure thats the only thing you need - then maybe you can go there.
An open heart operation is complicated and requires thorough diagnosis. Ratnam might have watched others do the surgery. But this is a one trick pony. And that too in ideal conditions.
If you ever speak to this Ratnam guy - you will see that for a guy who claims to have been an expert and lived in the US for 30 years or whatever - he can;t speak basic English properly. He talks like a retired Govt employee from some village.
I lost my dad to that fool - he did not bother to do a LFT(liver Function Test) after the bypass - by the time he and his stupid young punks who work under him realized it, it was too late. I asked him several times after the operation as to why my dad;s condition is not improving - his response was its ok, hell be ok. I even asked if we should consult a Gastroenterologist and he got offended. When he realized the liver is outta control, he immediately asked me to take him somewhere else. Too late, they said elsewhere. A simple LFT, which is REQUIRED after a bypass, was not done. World class my @ss. Cut that crap out.
DO NOT FALL FOR THE CHEAP RATES. YOUR SAVINGS WONT BE ABLE TO BRING THE DEAD PERSON BACK. PAY A BIT HIGHER, YOU NEED OTHER EXPERTS IN THE SAME HOSPITAL INCASE OF COMPLICATIONS. THATS WHY YOU GO TO A MULTI SPECIALITY HOSPITAL.
